Hello, I’m Ola

I'm a Reiki Master Practitioner and Sound Therapist based in Wellington and Palmerston North, New Zealand, and the founder of Moja Wellbeing.

The name Moja holds everything this practice stands for. It means "mine" in Polish — a reminder that your healing belongs to you, and that your path to wellbeing is as unique as you are.

Moja is also a real place — the name of my old family home in Poland, carrying a lifetime of love, memory and connection.

Rooted in legacy, inspired by healing

Moja is a tribute to my family heritage and to the courage, strength and resilience of the people who came before me.

My mother emigrated from Poland after WWII and devoted her life to healthcare in the NHS. Her dedication, compassion and service to others inspired the way I hold space today. Her journey, alongside our shared experience of overcoming cancer, profoundly shaped my understanding of healing and wellness, and I am honoured to carry that legacy forward through my work, creating a safe and supportive space where healing feels possible.

From patient to practitioner

In 2021, shortly after my 39th birthday, I was diagnosed with breast cancer. I was living on a house bus in New Zealand at the time, and the country was experiencing its second wave of COVID. In those early days, it felt like the thread of life had been pulled out of my hands.

Space and resources were limited, so I turned inward. Alongside my medical treatment, practices such as yoga, meditation, music and energy healing became my anchor. These practices brought me to a place of hope, gave me a home when I lacked one, and helped me to connect with and love myself at a time when I felt desperately alone. I let go of the noise and expectations and started paying attention to what was right for me. With time, and with the support of the therapists, nurses and practitioners around me, I began to understand myself differently. I realised I wasn't powerless — I could play an active role in my own recovery. I found profound peace, healing and transformation on that little bus.

Two years of recovery planted a seed. I had experienced first-hand the power of excellent clinical support, and alongside it, the remarkable benefits of holistic practices and energy healing. I heard that Reiki had been introduced into hospitals in the UK, and what started as curiosity became a calling.

Back in the UK, I began to walk the path — training to the highest level in both Reiki and sound therapy. Alongside my training, I worked full-time in a residential drug and alcohol rehab centre, which deepened my understanding of trauma, recovery and what it truly means to hold space for another person.

I know first-hand what it feels like to need support, to feel vulnerable, and to find healing in unexpected places.

Moja is the culmination of everything I have learned, survived and become.

Your Questions, Answered

  • Moja Wellbeing is for anyone feeling disconnected, overwhelmed or out of flow — whether you're navigating something specific like illness, grief or burnout, or simply need space to rest and reconnect. Sessions are suitable for everyone, including pregnant women, children, pets and those with chronic health conditions.

  • I am currently based in Palmerston North, New Zealand and relocating to Wellington later in 2026. I offer in-person sessions in both locations and Distance Reiki worldwide, including the UK.

  • I have an academic background in psychology and a strong foundation in clinical, trauma-informed training — and yet the way I work is completely intuitive and holistic at heart. My sound therapy training spans two years with the British Academy of Sound Therapy, graduating with Distinction — a comprehensive programme that goes far beyond relaxation and sound bathing. My sessions incorporate somatic exploration and therapeutic techniques that work with the body's own wisdom to support deeper, lasting healing.

I also understand what it means to be on the other side of this work. Having navigated cancer, I know firsthand what it feels like to need support, to feel vulnerable, and to find healing in unexpected places. That experience shapes everything about the way I hold space.

I work with a small number of clients at a time — which means when you come to me, you have my full attention, my genuine care and a practitioner who will remember your story from one session to the next.

  • The CNHC — Complementary and Natural Healthcare Council — is the UK's national regulator for complementary therapists. CNHC registration means I work to the same professional standards recognised by the NHS.

  • Yes — Distance Reiki is just as powerful and effective as an in-person session and is available worldwide. Many of my clients are based in the UK and receive sessions remotely.
